Girl Scouts of Central Illinois is marking its 100th anniversary in a colorful way by placing a mural in downtown Bloomington. Local Girl Scouts recently completed a design contest for the mural with the theme, Coloring the World with Love. The winning design was submitted by Kaylee McMasters of Troop 6538. Kayley and members of her troop will complete the mural with guidance and supervision of professional muralist Marty Klopfenstein at the corner of Market and Main, the north wall of Crossroads Global Handcrafts.

St. Jude Golf Tourney
The 2012 St. Jude Golf Men’s Classic will be held on June 11 with an 11:00 AM shotgun start. The premier golf event will also include a “Taste of Bloomington/Normal” hors d'oeuvres and desserts reception, live auction, and sponsor displays immediately following the individual stroke play. The St. Jude Women’s Classic will be held on July 16, 2012 with a shotgun start at 8:30 for a best ball scramble.
