24-year-old William Wells–a former Illinois State University student– was acquitted of sexual assault charges Friday in McLean County. Wells was accused in February of raping a woman at his Normal apartment. At the time, Wells was at ISU and the 18-year-old woman was visiting for the weekend from a college.
