Signs and sewers were the hot topics at Bloomington’s city council meeting Monday, again without Mayor Renner. The Bloomington council got the chance to see designs for new way-finding signs for the city’s downtown on Monday. The signs will help visitors navigate the city’s center, pointing them to local attractions and parking. At a special session, Public Works Director Jim Karch proposed a gradual fee increases for sewer and storm water over five years. Council members are split over whether the increase should come sooner, so the work can be done more quickly.
