A 26-year-old Putnam County man’s bond set at $1m in the stabbing death of a Spring Valley teen. Richard A. Henderson of Standard, IL was arrested Tuesday for concealing a homicidal death in connection with the death of 16-year-old Diamond Bradley. Henderson will be tried in Putnam County, Sheriff Kevin Doyle said in a Tuesday press conference in Spring Valley. Police said they expect more charges at a later date. Diamond was last seen alive on Jan. 23 and reported missing a day later. Her body was found in a rural Putnam County ditch near the LaSalle County line on Jan. 27. Police said Henderson and Bradley met online and agreed to meet on the morning she disappeared. Police believe Henderson picked up Bradley near her house in Spring Valley and drove her directly to the rural location on 850 N Road in rural Putnam County where her body was found. Police said a fight then happened, resulting in Henderson killing Diamond. The Putnam County death investigator said Bradley was stabbed multiple times.
