The Bright Stalk Wind Farm was okayed by the McLean County board Tuesday. The 200-megawatt, 58-turbine development is planned for southeast of Chenoa, according to the Pantagraph. The board also recently approved the McLean County Wind Energy Center set for southeast and north of Lexington. The upside for theĀ projects: jobs they will produce, the property tax revenue each will generate and for their clean energy production–The Downside: people still have questions about how turbines will affect their property values, health and quality of life.
