Despite the snow and ice, about a hundred or more activists gathered in Bloomington Saturday to press for stronger gun control measures while several other 2nd Amendment supporters showed up with flags and signs. This version of the March for Our Lives event was one of more than 800 rallies around the world that was organized following last month’s shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, that left 17 people dead. Speeches and songs were delivered on the steps of the McLean County Museum of History before they marched to the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts for one last song.
