New undergraduate students entering Illinois State University this fall will be pay $384.13 per credit hour, a 3.75 percent increase over the rate for students who started in the 2016-17 school year, following board of trustees action Friday. The Pantagraph reports the new rate only applies to incoming students and under the state’s truth-in-tuition law it is guaranteed through summer 2022. Mandatory student fees will go up 0.54 percent to $82.28 per credit hour.
