A weather disturbance will advance toward central Illinois late tonight from the southwest, producing a band of snow oriented roughly along and surrounding the I-72 corridor. That band of snow will expand north and south Monday morning, with a possible transition to rain for a few hours for areas south of Taylorville to Danville. Precipitation is expected to transition back to snow Monday night north of I-70, with a rain-snow mix south of I-70 possibly changing to freezing drizzle later Monday night. Slippery travel will be possible at any point during this event, so remain alert to changing weather and road conditions.
