Light snow is expected to advance across central Illinois from the southwest today. Flurries will develop later this morning, with snow accumulation occuring this afternoon and evening. Snow accumulations should remain mainly less than an inch, but a few locations between I-72 and I-70 could see slightly more than an inch. The snow is expected to change to rain this afternoon east of I-57. Before the precipitation ends, a period of freezing rain or freezing drizzle may occur after midnight south of I-70. Be prepared for slippery conditions and slow travel.
