Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel is calling for Illinois to raise its gas tax by 20 to 30 cents per gallon to raise funding to pay for infrastructure upgrades.In a Tuesday press conference, Emanuel and other Chicagoland mayors called for Illinois to raise the state motor fuel tax, which was last raised in 1990. The tax currently sits at 19 cents per gallon.
