…STRONG WIND GUSTS INTO EARLY AFTERNOON…
Widespread wind gusts in excess of 35 mph will continue into early afternoon. However, some areas will see wind gusts around 45 mph
at times. These higher gusts are most likely along and west of I-55. At 11 am, Springfield reported a 45 mph wind gust, and Bloomington reported 46 mph.
Combined with the periods of rain, difficult driving conditions will occur, especially for high profile vehicles. Be sure to use caution while driving today, and watch for loose objects that may be blown onto the roads.
