Another strong winter storm is expected to impact the area this weekend. Significant accumulations of snow and mixed frozen precipitation are possible across a large part of the Midwest. The disturbance that will cause the winter weather is still located over the Pacific Ocean, leading to uncertainty in snowfall amounts at this time range. However, snow accumulations combined with winds expected to gust over 30 mph, could create hazardous travel conditions. A shot of Arctic air is forecast to follow this weather system, leading to bitterly cold air and dangerously low wind chills for Sunday into Monday.
