A mix of freezing rain and snow will overspread central Illnois from the southwest Wednesday night. Overall accumulations will be light with less than one tenth inch of ice and an inch or less of snow. However, the precipitation will result in slippery travel conditions for the Thursday morning commute for much of central IL north of I-70. Temperatures will warm above freezing over much of the area on Thursday afternoon, as the precipitation shifts to our east.
