Snow is expected to overspread much of central Illinois Friday night, with a mixture of freezing rain and snow possible south of a Jacksonville to Danville line and north of I-70, for Friday night into Saturday morning. Colder air will filter in from the north during the day Saturday, changing the mixed precipitation over to snow over the southern part of the watch area. Total snowfall accumulations of 4 to 6 inches are possible along and north of a Jacksonville to Danville line. Between one tenth and one quarter inch of ice are possible over the southern portions of the watch area, followed by 2 to 4 inches of snow.
