Illinois’ senior U.S. Senator says President Trump’s latest offer to open the government is not enough. Senator Dick Durbin on Saturday said the president is offering three more years of protections for nearly 800 thousand people brought to this country illegally as children. Durbin says instead he wants permanent protections and to expand the program. Durbin said Democrats could ask for another vote to open the government as soon as tomorrow.
