Light icing will begin later this morning as freezing rain develops across the northern portions of Central Illinois. A thin glaze will develop quickly. Although the expected amounts are generally less than a tenth of an inch, ANY icing can create hazardous travel conditions, particularly as the wind gusts continue at 25 to 35 mph. Icing amounts are expected to range from a thin glaze to as much as 0.10 inches. Hazardous driving conditions are expected today and into this evening.
