A wintry weather pattern will continue across central Illinois through the entire forecast period. An Arctic cold front will bring windy and sharply colder conditions Thursday afternoon…with wind-chill readings dropping to 15 below to 25 below zero Thursday night into Friday morning. A fast-moving disturbance will bring a period of snow Friday afternoon into Friday night, with a light accumulation of around 1 inch north of the I-72 corridor. After a cold and dry day on Saturday, another system will spread light snow back into the area for Sunday into Monday. Temperatures will warm sufficiently to support all rain south of I-70 by Monday afternoon.
