The weather map for Illinois is a rainbow of cold colors. The National Weather Service is warning folks from the Quad Cities to Springfield and up through Chicago of dangerous cold today and into tomorrow. There is a winter weather advisory in place till six p.m. tonight for western Illinois and the Quad Cities. There’s also a wind chill watch or a wind chill advisory in place till tomorrow, depending on where you live, for the northern half of the state. Forecasters are warning of wind chills as cold as 25 below.
