School leaders in Mahomet say they’re taking the DUI arrest of one of their school bus drivers seriously. The Illinois State Police arrested 69-year-old Marvin Bell Tuesday night after they say he was driving under the influence of drugs. Bell reportedly uses some medications for controlling Parkinson’s disease. Bell was driving the Mahomet-Seymour wrestling team back from a meet at the time, 33 kids and coaches were on his bus. Mahomet-Seymour Superintendent Lindsey Hall says student safety is their highest priority, and they are taking Bell’s arrest very seriously.
