A very cold wintry weather pattern will continue across central Illinois through the entire forecast period. Wind-chill readings will start out at 15 below to 30 below zero this morning, with highs only in the teens and low 20s today. A fast-moving disturbance will bring a period of snow this afternoon and evening, with a light accumulation of around 1-2 inches north of I-70. More bitter cold wind chills will arrive tonight, with sub zero values north of I-72. After a cold day with light afternoon snow on Saturday, another system will spread light snow back into the area for Sunday. A stronger storm system will arrive Sunday night through Monday evening, and may produce several inches of snowfall, mainly near and north of I-74. Temperatures will briefly warm enough to support periods of rain south of I-72 by Monday afternoon.
