The town of Normal is going ahead with a plan to tear down three buildings and build a new one on the east side of Uptown Circle despite objections from the town’s Historic Preservation Commission and others. According to the Pantagraph, officials note the community mural on the side of 104 E. Beaufort St., which will be destroyed for the project, would be wiped away with regular maintenance of the building regardless.
