The Illinois State Police are pleading with drivers to slow down and be careful on icy or snow covered roads. The State Police took to Twitter yesterday after a driver in central Illinois rear-ended a trooper’s SUV on a slick patch of I-55. The State Police say that’s the 11th trooper’s vehicle to be hit this year, nearly one every five-and-a-half days.
