Illinois State University is looking to build more dorms, but not everyone is happy about it. The school’s president, Larry Dietz, says he wants to meet with local apartment owners this week to talk about a plan that could have the university build as many as 600 new dorm rooms. The landlords say that could gut their businesses. Many say there are already more beds than students and fear more university housing will leave even more apartments empty.
