The Illinois Attorney General’s public access bureau is looking over Normal resident and town council candidate Karyn Smith’s complaint that Normal officials barred her Feb. 4 from addressing the council about an item not on its agenda which was the upcoming demolition of three historic buildings in uptown. The Pantagraph reports Koos saying Monday that the town has already responded to the letter. The AG’s office recommended the town change its policy after a similar complaint two years ago filed Craig Stimpfert.
