
Two people are being treated after an SUV was submerged in the Vermilion River near Pontiac. It happened Monday afternoon when SUV veered off I-55 near mile marker 201, hit the ditch and landed in the river. According to the Illinois State Police, two people–one adult and one child–were transported to area hospitals. The child is in critical condition and is being treated at OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
