The University of Illinois says the nearly 500-thousand-dollars the school spent on background checks flagged 25 potential problem employees. The Champaign News Gazette yesterday said the U of I reversed job offers to 25 people after problems surfaced during a background check. Seven of the flagged workers were applying to the U of I’s main campus, 16 more were flagged in Chicago, and two were stopped from working at the university hospital in Chicago. The U of I is not saying for what the people were flagged.
