Motorists will be paying more for gas after the City Council doubled the local motor fuel tax. Revenue from the tax will pay for street and sidewalk repairs. The council also approved a 500-dollar annual licensing fee for each video gambling machine in the city. The fee takes effect May 1st and will have to be renewed annually.
