The Illinois state police are launching an online rape evidence tracking tool. Survivors of sexual assault will soon be able to check on the progress of DNA evidence related to their case online. The system will let survivors track their rape kits as they move through the DNA testing process. Each case will have a unique number and password to ensure privacy.
