Police are sorting out the details in what they are calling “an evolving situation” that left at least one person shot late Tuesday night in the 1200 block of Orchard Road and a crash about two blocks away on Wildwood Road. The male victim ws taken to OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, for treatment of his injuries. Police tell us the incident began about 9:50 p.m. when neighbors reported hearing about five or six gunshots and then squealing tires. When they looked out, they saw someone lying in the street and someone bent over the victim, apparently offering aid and calling 911. The Pantagraph reports three SUVs could be seen a couple of blocks away in the yard of a house in the 1600 block of Wildwood.
