Township government could soon no longer have a say in wind farm decisions in the state of Illinois. Lawmakers in Springfield this week voted to leave all decisions about permits and zoning to county boards or city government. The plan comes as a township in Douglas County is fighting to block a wind farm development. The idea is headed to Governor Pritzker’s desk.
