Breaking news out of Lincoln—–
According to the Lincoln Fire Department, a home near 10th and Chestnut Street collapsed Tuesday morning. The call first came in around 10:19 a.m. We’re told crews were working on foundation repairs when the house collapsed.
Four people were sent to a local hospital with minor injuries due to the collapse.
The home is a total loss.
Lincoln Fire Chief Mark Miller tells us the home is still shifting a bit.
Crews are still on scene and all utilities to the home have been shut off for safety. The plan now is to clean up and make sure the house is safe for the family to gather their belongings.
