Recently unsealed court documents say accused kidnapper Brendt Christensen was treated by the University of Illinois Counseling Center in the months prior to the alleged kidnapping. Christensen is accused of kidnapping and killing University of Illinois visiting scholar Yingying Zhang. The documents say that Christensen “described his urge to commit homicide as a fantasy” but made no specific threat to harm anyone.
