Bloomington City Council adopted its Fiscal Year 2020 Budget on Monday, one that is nearly $6 million heavier than originally planned. Two big elements are the recently passed local motor fuel tax and the new video gaming licensing fee. A vote was planned to create a separate fund for the revenue generated by the motor fuel tax, but the council decided to hold off. The decision came after a lengthy discussion about the wording of the fund particularly the part about how brick roads would be left out.
