
Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul wants lawmakers to tighten the rules for people who go door-to-door to try and sell new power suppliers. Raoul told reporters yesterday that many times people are sold an alternative energy company that costs more. He says the sales pitches make it seem as if people can save hundreds of dollars, when in reality they never see those savings. But, those alternative energy companies say people want a choice other than the traditional utilities that have dominated the state for years.
