The DCFS is investigating their handling of the Andrew Freund case after the five-year-old was found dead. The agency said they are committed to conducting a comprehensive review of their work with Andrew’s family to understand their shortcomings and to publicly reveal any steps taken to address the issues. The boy’s parents were charged with his murder after his body was discovered yesterday in a shallow grave near northwest suburban Woodstock. DCFS has had involvement with AJ and his family on and off since he was born with opiates in his system in 2013.
