Sponsors of a measure to expand gambling in Illinois said Tuesday that they’re confident a package that includes new casinos, sports wagering and increased taxes for video gambling will be approved by Friday’s deadline. Supporters said the expansion bill to be filed for Senate Bill 516 will include more casinos, sports betting and increased taxes on video gambling. They said they didn’t how much those taxes would be increased.
