The Normal Police Department is investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash involving a single motorcycle that occurred on Pipeline Road, just north of Interstate 55 around 1:42 p.m. Thursday.
Witness reports indicate the single motorcycle was traveling north on Pipeline Road when it left the roadway striking a utility pole. The male driver was the only individual on the motorcycle at the time of the crash. He was transported by Emergency Medical Personnel to an area hospital where life saving measures were unsuccessful.
The investigation is still ongoing. The Normal Police Department will work jointly with the McLean County Coroner’s office to release additional information when it becomes available.
The name of the deceased will not be released until notification of the family is complete.
