
A suspect in the shooting death of a Fulton County Sheriff’s deputy is in custody.
Sheriff Jeff Standard says 39-year-old Troy Chisum was killed Tuesday while investigating a battery and disturbance.
Officials announced that 42-year-old Nathan Woodring had been taken into custody yesterday morning after an overnight standoff.
Meanwhile, Avon community members and officials are reacting to a standoff that left a Fulton County Sheriff’s deputy dead.
Troy Chisum was shot and killed Tuesday while responding to a battery and disturbance call. Members in the tight-knit community say they will never forget the experience that led to an evacuation of part of Troy Road.
