Several roads that lead to the former Mitsubishi plant in Normal are being renamed. The stretch of U.S. 150 going into the company’s former plant in west Normal is expected to be renamed Rivian Motorway in honor of the electric car startup that’s taken over the facility. The city also plans to rename the access road for the plant, Sakura Lane, to Electric Avenue. Rivian has announced more than one-billion dollars in investments in the community.
