The Pantagraph reports five eastern McLean County residents have stepped forward to represent their area on the McLean County Board.
William Friedrich of Heyworth, Chelsea Leffelman of Bellflower, Ruth Novosad of Bloomington, Clarence Thomas of Heyworth and Martin Tipsord of Saybrook are vying for an appointment in District 2.
Board Chair John McIntyre is expected to recommend an appointee to the full county board during its next meeting 5:30 p.m. July 16. The appointee will serve until after the next county board election in November 2020.
