
Connect Transit fixed route ridership has shown an increase in ridership for 13 consecutive months. Connect Transit ended its fiscal year with
2,446,527 passenger trips a 9.2% increase, and 18,962 more passenger trips than it reported in fiscal year 2016. Since 2016, Connect Transit’s National Peers’ ridership has decreased on average 7.7% and Regional Peers’ ridership has decreased 11.61%.
Since FY08 Connect Transit has seen a cumulative increase of 75.92% in passenger trips. “Frequency matters and frequency of service is freedom for customers as it better serves the customers that need and use Connect”, said General Manager Isaac Thorne. “Customers have responded to multiple Rider Surveys indicating frequency of service and on-time performance of service being the two most important items.”
