An excessive heat warning is in effect in central Illinois. The National Weather Service in Lincoln, Illinois issued the warning yesterday. It runs from this afternoon through Saturday evening. Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-to-upper 90s each day, with a heat index between 105 and 110 degrees.
