
Just when you thought they could stick a fork in it, the idea of a multi-sport complex in Bloomington-Normal is showing signs of life again.
According to published reports, Normal City Manager Pam Reece says she hopes for guidance on a direction for the potential $50 million facility will become clear within 45 days.
Reece tells the local public radio station she is confident that a multi-sport complex a multi-sport complex is still a viable solution adding that sports tourism is truly a thing and a lot of communities are relying on.
Reece says there are some interested businesses, but no firm commitments for the public-private partnership.
