The Beckett Law Office said in a release Friday the information gathered from the State’s Attorney’s Office has lead investigators to believe Yingying Zhang’s remains are in a Vermillion County landfill.
According to the release, “On July 25, 2019, the Zhang family was notified by prosecutors in the Christensen case that Mr.Christensen’s defense team provided them with information under an immunity agreement. The Zhang family reports this as information they have received and cannot vouch for its truth.”
A press conference will be held sometime next week.
WEEK TV reports the family of Zhang says they are waiting for an acquaintance from China before the conference is held, “due to the language barrier.”
