Officers from the Normal Police Department arrested Patrick S. McLellan, a male age 18 from Normal, and Timothy L. King, a male age 20 from Champaign, on August 2, 2019, on weapons charges.
The arrests stemmed from a call reporting an armed subject in the 1300 block of W. Hovey Avenue. Responding units took two men into custody without incident and recovered a sawed-off shotgun with a defaced serial number.
McLellan is being held pending review by the McLean County States Attorney’s office on the following charges:
Unlawful Use of Weapons/Shotgun Barrel less than 18 inches Possess Firearm with Defaced Serial Number Unlawful Use of Weapon/Carry Possess Firearm No FOID/Weapon/Firearm Aggravated Assault with Weapon
King is being held pending review by the McLean County States Attorney’s office on the following charges:
Unlawful Use of Weapon/Carry Possess Firearm
Both individuals arrested are being held the McLean County Jail.
