Secretary of State, Jesse White will not be running for re-election.
White told a reporter with Politico at the Illinois State Fair this week that, “This is my last tour of duty.”
White is currently serving his sixth term as Illinois Secretary of State.
This isn’t the first time Jesse White said he would not run for office again.
Prior to running for a sixth term, White said he wouldn’t run again, but changed his mind.
White’s current term ends in 2022.
