On Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at approximately 2:15 p.m., Bloomington police officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Springfield Road for a shots fired incident.
Upon arrival, officers located two victims that had been shot. They suffered non-life threatening injuries. During the investigation, Dominique Atwater was arrested that day for weapons related offenses.
On Tuesday, August 20, 2019, members of the Bloomington Police Street Crimes Unit and the Criminal Investigations Division arrested Khawaunis K. Haynes, 20, of Bloomington, for five McLean County warrants relating to attempted murder and weapons charges.
Haynes bond is set at $1,000,000 – 10% to apply.
