A new law requires Illinois schools to educate children and young adults about the meaning of consent. Governor J.B. Pritzker signed the bipartisan bill yesterday requiring public schools to hold the discussions about consent. The discussions will take place as part of the statewide sex education course that runs from grades six through 12. The bill goes into effect January 1st.
