City Manager Tim Gleason Wednesday announced the promotion of Dan Donath, a 25-year veteran Bloomington police officer who has been sharing interim police chief duties since June 21, to Police Chief. He takes over for Clay Wheeler, 53, who retired after 28 years with the department because of a family medical issue.
