A lack of communication between a bus contractor and the McLean County Unit 5 staff and families is frustrating the school board.
Members expressed concern last night that Cincinnati-based private busing contractor First Student has processed nearly a thousand route changes in the first nine days of school. The changes have resulted in delayed pickups and drop-offs as well as other problems.
First Student says the number of changes is within the amount to be expected for the size of the school district.
